Happy New Year??

Sunday 3rd January 2016

Evening Folks!

So today I've been thinking a hell of a lot about my future and work and urgh. I don't like really thinking about jobs because I feel like I could've done so much more with my life by now, and I know that there's no changing that, as much as I wish there was, but I can't help feeling like that if I wanted to start a completely different career path I'm kinda screwed. I didn't finish my A-Levels, I'm 20 now so wouldn't fit in at all in college, and I can't go to uni without going back and doing exams to finish my A-Levels and I have no time to do that, see my issue...

I have no idea what I want to do with my life, right now all I can think about it travelling, getting married, drawing and kitty cats. My head feels overwhelmed at the moment and I'm not sure what to do about it. Don't get me wrong I don't hate my job, but I by no means love it or look forward to Mondays! All we seem to do right now is worry from pay day to pay day, plod along, pay bills and yeah our evenings are super cute and cuddly and when we have days off we go on little adventures and have fun. But I want to whisk Freya away, go on adventures, pack up and drive all through the night, living out of the car, taking the cats on hikes in little harnesses, live in nature, look forward to waking up and living each day differently. One day, eh?

Hey, It's a new year, with many things to come, you never know what'll happen. Don't forget to pay your rent! Start the year off right!  Tis the season for health kicks and gym memberships, but don't pressure yourself to change like that, straight away and rushing to "better" yourself. Do things gradually, plan out, research, invest your time properly. Make your resolution to be happy, to change and alter things to make you happy, not to conform to others, and what they think will work or make you "better". Long story short, just try and make 2016 that tiny bit better than last year but focusing on making yourself more comfortable in your life, and yourself. That's hard I know, but through trying you'll make yourself that little bit happier day by day.

Take time to appreciate nature, go for a walk, stand in the rain, go for a picnic in the car to the middle of the forest, do whatever you can to make life more raw, simpler and meaningful for you.

Have a good week kids! You can do this.

Todays Bird of The Day is the Tawny Owl -
The tawny owl is an owl the size of a pigeon. It has a rounded body and head, with a ring of dark feathers around its face surrounding the dark eyes. It is mainly reddish brown above and paler underneath. It is a widespread breeding species in England, Wales and Scotland but not found in Ireland. Birds are mainly residents with established pairs probably never leaving their territories. Young birds disperse from breeding grounds in autumn.

It's been almost a year...

Monday 28th December '15

Woah, so I guess it's been almost a year since I last posted a blog post.
Whoops! So, so, so many things have happened. I think I've just been so caught up in everything, changing of jobs, houses, all sorts. Things have been up and down and now I'm feeling sorta settled again and have really missed posting little ramblings on here. Also sounds like you guys have missed it too, so here it goes. Let's give it another go!

The last post I wrote was in February this year and now were just days away from welcoming in 2016. Seems pretty apt that now is a time to "change yourself', "make resolutions" and that's not the reason behind starting up this blog again, but it sure kinda gives me the motivation that I'm definitely lacking after stuffing my face full of roast dinners the past few days! I hope that you have all had a very Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays/ whatever floats your boat!

The most significant thing that has happened this year was in June!
On Saturday 4th June '15 we moved all the way from Canterbury, Kent to Warrington, Cheshire. We moved our entire lives 260 miles up north. Why? I'm from here originally and we wanted to be up north near my family, Freya had just finished Uni and got an amazing job up here, so why not eh! My dad drove with us, hired a moving van and off we went! We have to transport all of our little loves and man, I still think back and worry that we left lots of things behind, but hey ho, we're not going back down there any time soon! We now officially live on our own. Just me and Freya and the fluff babies. That's it. It's WONDERFUL! Honestly, I knew it'd be amazing to live on our own, but now it has finally happened, It's incredible and so relieving.

So we now live on our own, not exactly on our own... Not so long after moving in, and both of us having cats at home before leaving home, we missed having little meowing creatures around so much, we adopted two little boys! They're called Loki & Mol (Mjölnir - like Thor's hammer)! They are our little angels and are incredibly affectionate! Mol is the little Tabby boy and Loki is the blue-eyed Siamese. They are both 4 years old now and have come so far. There is a pretty cool story behind them. We found them on Pets4Homes, spoke to their owner and went to meet them, we fell in love with them instantly. They are actually stray cats from Spain, who were feral. They were rescued from the streets from locals over there and fed and loved, they noticed that these two boys were inseparable and via a charity over there called San Animal Sanctuario were transported over here to the UK to go and live with the lady we got them from, she has many cats of her own, but also works with the charity to help foster them out to loving homes and get the adopted into their fur-ever homes. We brought them home and for the first 3-4 weeks they just didn't appear from behind the sofas, that was until we'd go to bed, then they caused havoc running about downstairs, but we loved knowing that they'd come out to play. Eventually Loki would come and have snuggles whilst Mol was still very nervous. Now, Lord, you sit down and before you could even switch the TV on they'll both have jumped up onto your lap and be fast asleep within seconds. It's so wonderful to think that these guys were strays and now they love cuddles and cannot leave us alone, even Mol is a big softie now. They love each other so much and have been as good as gold, apart from Mol disappearing for almost a week and giving us both heart attacks, they've been amazing.

The summer months between now and then have consisted of us both starting new jobs and time being spent with family and having a mini break to the Lake district, just settling into northern life and making our house a home. It really does feel like our sanctuary now. We live close to the lakes now and so many beautiful places to go exploring and for walks. It's so nice to be able to spend time together, not stressed about housemates etc and just enjoy life, just us.

Over the past few months I've started my new job, Freya has graduated from University, she has turned 21 and I have turned 20! Lots of little things have happened and I'm so glad that now I'll be able to share more of these little things as they happen with you.

About 2 months ago we welcomed another little Lyon into our family. Having been in constant contact with the charity in Spain and the fosterers - we had a total of 4 cats brought over from Spain. Two little kittens for my grandparents, one for my parents and one for us. We chose to us the charity again as unlike in the UK and many other places they do not have anything like the RSPCA etc to help stray animals. So this is Flor, she is just over a year old and the most affectionate little girl you could ever imagine! She spoons us as we sleep, she is such a cutie pie, our little family feels complete with her here. We still need to improve how her brothers chase her around the house but we are so happy! Sadly though our little darling hamster Chubbs passed away from old age, we miss her dearly.

I'm trying to think of other things that have happened, I'm sure I will fill you in as and when I remember! Its now less than 6 months until we get married, I cannot wait!! In 6 months time she'll be my wife, our family will be more and more complete.

So I'll leave you with a Bird of the Day!
Jays are several species of medium-sized, usually colorful and noisy, passerine birds in the crow familyCorvidae. The names jay and magpie are somewhat interchangeable, and the evolutionary relationships are rather complex. For example, the Eurasian magpie seems more closely related to the Eurasian jay than to the Oriental blue and green magpies, whereas the blue jay is not closely related to either.

I'll speak to you soon guys! Have a wonderful day!

It's That Time Again...

Sunday 30th November '14

Evening Lovelies! It's been a couple of days since my last post but to be honest now a great deal has happened!

So today is Sunday and we spent the day at the library whilst Freya finished off her essay for university and I applied for some jobs, we're at home now all snuggled up and going to get some dinner in a bit. Let's see, yesterday was Saturday and we had a pretty lazy morning before Freya's choir concert last night! She was wonderful, it was a lovely evening out and I love watching her sing! On Friday we had a pretty busy day to be honest, we had an early start and did a bit of food shopping, then went to the cinema to see the new film "Horrible Bosses 2" we went on the opening day but because we went at like 11:30am it was dead, there were about 2 other people in the cinema! It was so lovely and quiet!

We then had a wander around Westwood Cross, which is like a little shopping place just outside Canterbury where the huge Vue Cinema is! Finished off a bit of Christmas shopping whilst we we're there and then headed home for a shower and relax just before Freya's friends from her Stepps group arrived.
We hosted a little game night with them, it was lovely! It was the first time that I had properly met them! You mostly likely know about Freay's blog about her Stepps Support Group for BPD but if not here is a like to her blog, it is wonderful, informative, funny, serious and just so helpful so check it out! Whether you aren't sure about what's what, are a sufferer yourself or someone who is wanting to help others, it's worth a visit! - http://somewheresouthofcrazy.blogspot.co.uk

Not too much has happened really. But hey, it's December tomorrow which means it's nearly Christmas and that's cool. I like winter, I love being bundled up in so many layers, or sweaters, hats and scarves and coming home and snuggling up in bed with a hot water bottle and loads of teddies it's just wonderful. But I do especially love beanies, I mean I do wear them constantly but it's just that bit more justified when it's chillier! It does make it harder to do things, the weather I mean, not the hats. Like, in winter part of me wants to go out and explore and wrap up and drink hot chocolate outdoors and yeah, but the other half just wants to stay indoors and curl up with Netflix an yummy food. I'm finding the balance, just after I finish watching Family Guy.

I mean and another thing too it's hard being a grown up. I know I'm 19 and whatnot but this photo I found really does show how my mind works. I'm guessing that I'm not the only one! But hey ho, I'm still young right!

I'm sorry that todays post has been pretty all over the place and stuff, but I guess that's how my mind is feeling at the moment, just a bit messy and blurgh, feeling a bit sick and headachey too, so let's hope this goes soon!

Not too much planned for this coming week, need to get writing out Christmas cards and job hunting, but I'm sure I'll let you know how it all goes, not that anyone proabaly reads this to care that much but yeah (I seriously need to stop saying 'but yeah').

Sorry again, but I'll speak to you soon, right after Bird of the Day! Oh and Imma make braised steak for dinner!

Todays choice is...
The Long Tailed Tit! Look at this cutie!
The long-tailed tit is easily recognisable with its distinctive colouring, a tail that is bigger than its body, and undulating flight. Gregarious and noisy residents, long-tailed tits are most usually noticed in small, excitable flocks of about 20 birds. Like most tits, they rove the woods and hedgerows, but are also seen on heaths and commons with suitable bushes. They like to eat insects and occasionally seeds in autumn and winter and they have 340,000 breeding territories in the UK, you can spot them here all year round!

Alright Kiddos,
Speak soon!
:) x

Poorly Sick Day

Thursday 27th November '14

Hey Lovelies!
Hope you're all okay today. I've had a bit of a sick day, been throwing up and just pretty unwell, but Freya has been taking good care of me! We've stocked up on lucozade and chocolate and had a lovely roast dinner for tea. So pretty much today has been a lazy one, we wandered into town for a bit of fresh air and grocery shopping, then came home and I had a little nap, played some video games and then this evening we re-dyed our hair with a top up and painted our nails. It's these little lazy days and evening in that I like the most! I mean, I get to curl up and be looked after by my little munchkin, yeah feeling poorly is crappy, but it's nice to have a little rest I guess :)

I'm feeling kinda soppy today, probably being ill isn't helping, but I'm so happy. Yes, I don't have a job at the moment and some other things could be better, but hey, so many things are incredible. I have a wonderful fiancee by my side, I have an amazing family who support me no matter what, I have a roof over my head, food in my belly and clothes on my back I just feel comfortable. I mean, I live with Freya, spend pretty much every hour with her and we ne
ver run out of things to talk about or get bored of each other and I know that sounds silly, but I'm just so happy. We can sit in silence for hours and feel as comfortable and content as we would if we we're speaking for hours. But yeah, I'll stop rambling but I'm happy, as I may have mentioned...

Due to the soppiness here's a little something that I wrote...

Eye sight’s a funny thing isn’t it.
It can change so much and control it too.
But until I met you, my sight was merely for seeing.
Not for feeling.
It was for seeing oncoming cars, street lamps flickering.
It was for identifying the time, words, all things that come naturally.
But now, now it is so much more.
My sight allows me to feel secure.
When I look at you and see you gazing back, that’s safety, that’s love.
When I turn to see the small of your back, I feel warmth.
When my eyes trace over every curve and scar upon you, I feel forever.
My sight has never been so important to me.

Anyways...

Back to the fact that I don't have a job at the moment, no I'm not a dole dosser, I'm actively looking and searching for work. I hate not working. But, for anyone out there who is in the same position I came across this whilst job hunting and thought it was A). Cute B). Very helpful and C). Does actually work. Follow the little steps on there and I'm such you'll make a wonderful impression and hopefully have a very successful interview! Good Luck! :)

Oh and for anyone who is searching, some of the best sites I've found to look for jobs are:

There are many more but there are a few for you incase you need help getting started! It is also very important to keep your CV unto date and have a Cover Letter that you can adapt to any job you apply for.  You're around 85% more likely to be considered for a job and get an interview if you attach, even a small, cover letter. It allows the employer to realise that you have taken the effort to read actually acknowledge the job you are applying for rather than just sending your CV out to any job going. Even if you do apply for any and every job, make sure you make slight changes to make it apt for the job. Such as if it is in a busy office/ customer environment, saying something like "I have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. I possess excellent critical thinking, reading, writing and verbal skills and I am able to listen to employees and staff to maintain good communication, using excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with any customers to help and make them feel welcome by providing a friendly environment." Even just something short and snappy to get there attention rather than having to go all the way through your CV to find something interesting or important to them. Having a snappy like in there makes them more interested.

Fun Fact!
Something great to put on your CV is that you were voted 'Person of the Year' '06 - It's true!
In 2006 Time Magazine, for their "Person of the Year" Award voted for 'you' meaning everyone worldwide! So big yourself up a bit!

Bird of the Day
Todays bird of the day is the Screech Owl! Twenty-one living species are known at present, but new ones are frequently recognized and unknown ones are still being discovered on a regular basis, especially in the Andes. Similar to other owls, the screech owl females are larger than the males of their species. The northern screech owls are found in eastern states, such as New Jersey and New York. The screech owls are named for their piercing calls!
This is an Eastern Screech Owl --->
These supremely camouflaged birds hide out in nooks and tree crannies through the day, so train your ears and listen for them at night.

But anyways, still feeling poorly sick so going to head to bed for an early night and hopefully shake this off! Might be going to the cinema tomorrow, and try not to get caught up in the Black Friday Sales! Oh and if you're in America or celebrating it today - Happy Thanksgiving!

Stay safe and speak soon folks!

(See I promised I'd try and get back into this) :) x

It's been a while..

Wednesday 5th November '14 - Bonfire/ Guy Fawkes/ Fireworks Night!

Hey lovelies, so so sorry for my absence recently! I know I haven't kept up my daily blog and I've really only just started - I am disappointed in myself but it hasn't been without reason. I won't got into too much detail (but saying that I probably will...) I hope you can forgive me and for the people who do keep coming back to read my ramblings - welcome back and hello, I hope you've been good!

<---Look! Starbucks have now got the Christmas cups back!

But anyways I'm back and hopefully *fingers crossed* staying back!

To be honest I haven't had the energy or the want to write really, things at work have been crappy and I've been let go, they are making cuts wherever they can and so yeah, no more work for me. Well not there anyway, towards the end they started to pick faults with anything and everything and if I'm being brutally honest I am kinda glad that I'm out of there! I mean it is good timing in a way as it is my birthday in 3 days time (November 8th!) and christmas soon so I needn't worry about having to try and fight to book time off etc, but on the other hand - no money, I'm for a few weeks I will still be being paid and getting my bonus through, but I need to be extremely sensible!

Happy Bonfire Night Folks! Make sure you stay safe, yeah?

Remember, remember the fifth of November ... today is known as Guy Fawkes Night, Bonfire Night and Firework Night.

It is an annual celebration observed on November 5th for more than 400 years following the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 when 13 conspirators planned to blow up Parliament and kill King James I.

Fawkes was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords.

People in London lit bonfires to celebrate the failure of the plot, and an act of Parliament was passed to appoint the date as a day of thanksgiving for the "joyful deliverance of James I". This act remained in force for 254 years, until 1859.

To mark the occasion, here are some facts about Guy Fawkes, gunpowder and fireworks:
  • Political protesters sometimes wear Guy Fawkes masks to protect their identity. You might recognise these masks if you’ve seen the film V for Vendetta, which is very loosely based on the story of Guy Fawkes.
  • The only place in the UK that does not celebrate Guy Fawkes Night is St. Peter’s School in York. Guy Fawkes went there as a boy and they refuse to burn his image in respect for their former pupil.
  • Guy Fawkes wasn’t the main conspirator in the Gunpowder Plot, but he had one of the most important roles. He guarded the gunpowder underneath the Houses of Parliament, and had he not been caught, he would have been charged with lighting it.
  • Physicists from the Institute of Physics have calculated that the 2,500kg of gunpowder Fawkes hid would have wreaked damage almost 500 metres from the centre of the explosion.
  • Fireworks were invented when a Chinese cook accidentally discovered how to make explosive black powder - the early origin of gunpowder - during the 10th century. The cook accidentally mixed three common kitchen ingredients - potassium nitrate or saltpetre (a salt substitute used in the curing of meat), sulphur and charcoal and set light to the concoction. The result was colourful flames. The cook also noticed that if the mixture was burned when enclosed in the hollow of a bamboo shoot, there was a tremendous explosion.
  • Fireworks arrived in Europe in the 14th century and were first produced by the Italians. The first recorded display was in Florence. The first recorded fireworks in England were at the wedding of King Henry VII in 1486.
  • Dummies have been burned on bonfires since as long ago as the 13th century, initially to drive away evil spirits. Following the gunpowder plot of 1605, the focus of the sacrifices switched to Guy Fawkes' treason.
  • It is said that the word ‘guy’ actually comes from the name Guy Fawkes. It originally meant “an ugly, repulsive person” but, throughout the years, simply became a synonym for “man”.
  • One suggested origin for the word ‘bonfire’ is that derives from 'bone-fire', and comes from a time when the bodies of witches, heretics and other misfits were burned instead of being buried in holy ground.
  • The Houses of Parliament are still searched by the Yeomen of the Guard before the state opening which has been held in November since 1928. The idea is to ensure no modern-day Guy Fawkes is concealed in the cellars.
How do you celebrate Guy Fawkes Night? We are off to watch the Fireworks tonight in Canterbury!
Oh and if you like associating songs with specific events then listen to Bonfire Heart by James Blunt - very apt for today! And lovelies, enjoy yourself but most of all make sure you take care and be safe!

So.. What've you missed other than the whole work situation? Not a whole lot to be honest! I had a bed day yesterday and spent the majority of the time with a curled up Seren on my tummy and we we're both enjoying the warmth and watching Netflix!

Look at the snuggly baby boy! When we first moved in he appeared at our backdoor - us and our housemates let him in when it's chilly and dark and really just whenever he's hungry, we all feed him and sometimes multiple dinners if we haven't realised he's already eaten! He eats, snuggles and then goes back outside exploring! He was a stray so it's not fair to keep him indoors but especially now the weathers turning we need to make sire he stays warm and fed! I'm sure he appreciates it in his own special way! He's got a bit of a runny nose at the mo though, so extra cuddles need to be given!

I know that I have written this post pretty early today but I've been sat in Starbucks for a while now, Freya is busy today with her Uni work and also a field trip to a prison today! So I'm making the most of having a free day - guess there are going to be more of those now that I'm jobless - wahoo, at least it's through no fault of my own eh! Going to head home soon to possibly have a nap and a cuddle up with either the cat or our teddies, it's so chilly outside today! I'm so excited to get wrapped up so warm in huge jumpers and scarves and hats tonight to go and watch the fireworks! Have a wonderful evening!

I am also ridiculously looking forward to tomorrow as we are taking the 4 and a half hour drive back up North to see all of my family and get away for a while for my birthday! I miss them all so much and so does Freya. So it's going to be wonderful to see them all again! Not long now until we are going to be up there permanently! Neither of us can wait!

But make sure to pop back tomorrow as I'm sure they'll be photos of last night and the drive up tomorrow etc.. to show you!

Bird of today is going to be - The Snowy Owl - or Hedwig to some of you Harry Potter fans out there! The snowy owl is also known as the Arctic Owl or the Great White Owl. The oldest Snowy Owl living in the wild was recorded to be 9 years and 5 months. A captive Snowy Owl lived for at least 28 years. Snowy owls are mostly white with narrow, sparse brown bars and spots. Their golden colored eyes are rather small for an owl and their toes and claws are thickly covered with feathers. They are among the largest North American owl species. They live mainly in the North of America and Canada also Alaska!
That's all for today Kiddos! Have a wonderful Bonfire Night/ Fireworks Night/ Guy Fawkes Night and make sure you stay safe!
See you tomorrow!

Pre-Mondays

Sunday 25th October '14

Wassup! Today is going to be a quick one, and I mean quick! We had a lovely lie in this morning and went for another wander around the Laines in Brighton before grabbing some bubble tea and driving back to Canterbury in the afternoon! So since getting back I've spent the day cleaning and tidying and making dinner so it's late now and especially since it feels an hour later than it is, due to the clocks going back by an hour! I'm in work at 8am tomorrow until 5pm - as much as getting up early is a pain at least I'm finished with enough time to actually so something in the evening! But in the morning we're going to get up nice and super early to go to the gym to start off our day - so that means a 6am rise tomorrow morning, again, hence the short blogpost today!

Hopefully work will be kind to me tomorrow and not too many difficult customers! Fingers crossed eh!
Side note- I wish we had a Peals Bubble Tea here in Canterbury, it's out go-to place whenever we're in Brighton!

Anyways Lovelies! I hope that your Sunday has been okay, if you've been exploring, to church, shopping, seeing family, or even just stayed in bed and had a netflix marathon, I hope that you are okay and you have had a lovely day!

I'm nervous to head back to the gym tomorrow but I'm so keen to get back in shape and tone up again, I used to got kickboxing 3 times a week but since moving to Canterbury haven't been exercising as much, but nows the time to get back into the routine of building it into my day.

Plus with working for a big company I get employee discount at the gym to makes going a bit more of an incentive, and less expensive.

My head is a bit busy tonight, lots of thoughts and worries and planing going on for things that I don't really need to be thinking about constantly but hey ho, that happens sometimes!

Have some pretty photos and stuff... Words aren't happening that easily tonight!

Randomness is good sometimes, and I do apologise for the mismatched post!

Todays bird of the day is going to beeee... The Buzzard!
Now the commonest and most widespread UK bird of prey. It is quite large with broad, rounded wings, and a short neck and tail. When gliding and soaring it will often hold its wings in a shallow 'V' and the tail is fanned. Birds are variable in colour from all dark brown to much paler variations, all have dark wingtips and a finely barred tail. Their plaintive mewing call could be mistaken for a cat.

So stay safe, have a good nights sleep, or a good day, whichever is applicable to you!

Please come back again soon, I promise to be more interesting one day!

Night Night - Sleep Tight! :)

A bit too much?

Thursday 23rd October '14

Ahoy Hoy! (that was the intended greeting when answering the phone) Fun fact of the day eh! So I hope you're all okay! Today has been another kinda busy one, work from 10am-7pm and man it gets dark early, plus the clocks go back an hour at the weekend - don't forgot!

Today has been a bit stressful, trying to sort out things left over from a pervious house, and also this house! So I've been feeling a bit all over the place, but at least work has kept me occupied, and thank goodness it's all been sorted out now, I cannot tell you the relief that I am feeling! Let's move on and get on with things, no use dwelling and when things get sorted out, make the most of it and progress with yourself and with life!

Sometimes things really do get tough, tougher than you could ever have imagined but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and yea thats cliche but it's true kiddos!

But when I got home form work this evening I was greeted not only by so many well done snuggles, and I'm so proud of you kisses, but the cutest little arrangement lay out on the bed of things to do and make me happy. All done by my wonderful girl! It consisted of snacks, top trumps, scrabble, my cuddly snake Sacha, sticker books and also and emergency box. Our "Emotional First Aid Kit" That's full of little notes and photos about us and a tiny buddha, sweets, massage bar, elastic bands, colouring pencils and old memories. It's adorable, and such a cute and original idea, I love it!

Also today has consisted of many cat cuddles, look at our cute baby boy! He is called Seren, like Serendipity and he;s the sweetest. he was a stray as we just moved into our current house and he was so so skinny and poorly, but we took him in and fed him up and as much as he likes to be outside and exploring he always comes in for his dinner and cuddles before bedtime.

When I got home I wanted to cuddle up with our teddies too but I didn't know which one to pick, then it occurred to me we have way too many... Like look - I took a photo of just the ones that we have out in our room, and goodness, I think we have enough! Some are new some are all, but all are loved and no matter what anyone says, maybe they really do come to life like in Toy Story. Shhh, I'm allowed to believe that! Today really is going to be a short one as I'm completely knackered from working pretty late, that's nothing on tomorrow though, I'm in from 12pm-9pm.

So one more day of work tomorrow, then off to Brighton where the missus is originally from for the weekend, just to have a little bit of time away and also spend some time exploring and going shopping! We all need that sometimes. I can't wait and then on Saturday it's 2 weeks until my 19th birthday, and then were going back up north to see all of my family for a whole week, we have more tattoos booked in and I just can't wait, that's what's keeping me going right now and I really want to skip ahead to there right now, I miss my family so so much.

Okay, so a short one it is.
Today's bird of the day is going to be, a Magpie.
Magpies seem to be jacks of all trades - scavengers, predators and pest-destroyers, their challenging, almost arrogant attitude has won them few friends. Non-breeding birds will gather together in flocks. There Latin name is Pica Pica, they are found across the whole of the UK, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Island and you'll be able to see them all year round.

Night Night lovelies it's time to go and snuggle in bed and go and play the Sims 4!
Catch you Later!

It's a weird world

Wednesday 22nd October '14

Howdy! It's that time of the day again! As you may have gathered I've been at work all day, a 9:30am-6:30pm shift today and dude todays been hard. I woke up feeling drained and lost and well, the opposite to what you want to after an alright nights sleep eh!

I've been sleeping pretty well recently and I dunno I had that thought as when I was watching a documentary there was a stat that made me wonder, it was that "2,400 people are currently living hopeless in the UK (people whom of which are accountable for)" Now I know that figure doesn't sound like that many at all but also that homeless figure is a 37% increase from last year, that's crazy!

I mean I know things can be hard sometimes, but at least I've got a roof over my head and if times are tough I'm am surrounded by people who are able to support me and that's incredible, I really will never stop feeling lucky that I am able to say that I'm in that situation! If you are the same as me then make sure that you do appreciate that, because that may not be there always, or never there for some people. Today's going to be a shortish one as I've been very busy!

But today at work along with the, now usual, snacks and hot chocolate from my wonderful boss, I came across this wonderful comic and I thought I'd share it with you!

<--- Look at the cat!

Oh and below is another one of my favourite comics, especially I have had quite a few comments in the past about the size of my thighs, and yes, they're muscly, but in no way are they big! I've been kickboxing for just shy of 6 years, and yes, that involves lot's of kicking, so yes, that will therefore increase the size of my thigh muscles. To those people who believe that it is "fat" then they best be thankful that I don't have a watermelon on me most of the time as this would be my first reaction. I love my body and I am proud of it and you will not change my mind. Maybe I should start carrying around large watermelons...

Oh and before I pop off I would like to also share with you an unconventional love letter that I wrote to my fiancee. I hope you like it?

Love isn’t just the sound of the birds singing in the mornings,
It’s equally the way you squeeze my hand as you see a tiny bird lifeless at the side of the road.
It’s not being made breakfast in bed on cosy Sunday mornings,
As much as it’s the crumpets that are still cold in the middle but you’re too polite to say so.
It’s part and parcel of all things.

Love can be pretty crap.
Really it can be, and not in regards to it being something that should be avoided.
Dear lord it’s incredible,
It makes you want to scream with pride,
But equally burst with pain,
When the words just won’t leave your mouth,
When you aren’t given the chance to explain,
When you think you’re doing the right thing,
But god, it’s the complete opposite.

It’s difficult,
Annoying,
Uncontrollable.

But love is something that if it’s true, it shows.
You could be fighting and arguing so much it seems like it may never end.
But love is that tingle in your chest when, even if they’re shouting, never goes away.
The serious conversations that are broken with side glances and funny faces.

Everything is made up of it.
Man, it’s annoying as hell,
But at the same time, makes it the best feeling imaginable.

I was asked to write an unconventional love letter, and I don’t think I’ve done so well, but I’m sorry.

We’re both hurting, we both have red eyes and tear stained cheeks,
I’m not romanticising pain, the opposite.
It’s the worst.
To not know what to say to your sweetheart when you need to most.
Wanting to run a mile and jump into the sea but also curl up beside them,
It’s a horrible in between,
I’m not questioning my love.
Just my judgement.

I can’t judge you sometimes,
It seems like your so distant,
But every single time we feel this way,
We are drawn back,
That’s love, that’s all I care about.

So that’s it I guess.
Dude, you’re crazy as hell sometimes,
But I’d never change that.

Just don’t forget.
We may be crazy and we may be lost. But we’re lost together and I hope that’s enough for you, Because that’s plenty for me.

An unconventional love letter?

Last but not least cherubs, it's time for bird of today, todays choice is...
The Canary, I have very fond memories of these as my Gramps used to keep them in a big aviary in his garden and also a little extension off the side of the garage and they're so lovely. The males are very well know to sing to attract their female partners and are renowned for their voices and were used as miner birds. They originate from the Canary Islands and contrary to peoples beliefs they are not all yellow, they come in all sorts of colours, such as, shades of brown, yellow, grey, orange and bronze, to name just a few. A fun fact for you too, Canaries love jalepeno peppers, betcha never knew that!

Anway, Time for bed and I shall see you tomorrow!

Urgh Monday...

Monday 20th October '14

So you all know what day it is! Happy Monday!

Well, hopefully it's happy one for you - even if you're sat there on a constant drip of coffee and losing the will to live even though you've only been awake for 5 minutes, then that's okay!
Monday isn't our friend and we need to give him a big boot up the arse. I have spent my day at work on this wonderful Monday trying to find things to inspire me to get through the day - this has consisted of playing tank trouble, looking at last minute holidays and also wedding ideas! To be honest that's a pretty good kick to want to get though the day and one more day closer to marrying my girl and travelling and even just to cuddles once I get home.

Monday can be a right bitch but sometimes as hard as it is, sucking it up is the best thing to do, it's inevitably coming around and hey once that day is out of the way then you're so much closer to the weekend and if you have to work the weekend, then yeah that's crap, but you're one day closer to a day off and a day full of Netflix and takeaways in bed! Monday would be better off spent like that I know but well, we ain't that lucky I guess. Meh.

So today was the day... I moved desks, it finally happened and it's worked out a lot better than I first thought! So long story short, to be honest, the desk I was supposed to be moving too the computer there was broken, so I was then moved to another one and oh my gosh yay, right at the back of the office, next to the window and so nice and quiet! I cannot describe how happy I am, I spent the majority of the morning cleaning it yes, but lord it was filthy! Not anymore though it's pristine! Then the panic washed over me "this isn't permanent, this is temporary" and seriously that was scary, I know that sounds stupid, I know that but it's ridiculous how pathetic I am! But along with a desk change we changed managers, and he is lovely! He brought me a can of red bull as I had just finished mine, when something was sold or done well I got high fives or hugs and he is just wonderful. I know that sounds cheesy and what not but, it's lovely to actually be praised for doing good work as apposed to it going unnoticed. Oh and he's let me stay at this desk. He is now my favourite! There's that saying isn't there, that goes "A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected". Hopefully I can prove that?

So I'm maybe a litre bit too happy about such a little things, but it is the little things that matter! Oh and I did say "long story short, maybe not".

Oh and if you don't feel appreciated, then you are, even by people who don't show it, they may not know how to, but even if you don't believe that - I appreciate you, you're incredible and you are here now and even if that's a struggle, look, you're doing it!

The most important things can sometimes only be the smallest and it's important to remember those, even just taking 20 minutes in a day to sit down and read or have a cuppa, even to call your parents, or friend or family member, and tell them how crap your day was or how shitty one of your colleagues is. To just do some of those little things can be much more relaxing than just trying to hold it in and hope that it disappears, and even if you don't feel like you can talk to anyone then I'm always here!

Life really is beautiful and it can take a while to realise that, but it truly is! Please don't give up and if you're feeling not so good today, then this is your sign that someone is think about you and believes in you, yes you, you're awesome!

I'm struggling to write today and I think Monday's just drained me, well I need to up for 6:30am tomorrow morning, and the prospect of that, let's just not think about that now shall we.

Okay kids, that's enough for today I think, I'm spewing out nonsense as it is so let's not do much more!

Bird of the day today shall be... *drum roll please*
The Long Tailed Tit (shush!) - They're so cute and tiny and round and fluffy and bouncy and aah!
You'll probably always see them hopping around car parks! They are found mainly in Europe, UK and Asia! They love eating insects and also seeds in Autumn and Winter. You hardly see them on their own as they tend to stay in flocks of around 20 birds, and they're extremely noisy!

That's all darlings!
Stay safe and have a lovely day!

Speak tomorrow!
